Starry Skies is my online art portfolio. It is my first website ever and it is hosted by Sayjay.

Why Starry Skies and how did it happen?

Well, the history of the name is very simple: When I was offered to be hosted by Sayjay, I went through Nadia's website names suggestions and stumbled upon Starry Skies. I loved it, so picked it. It's as simple as that. :p

Starry Skies was opened on October 9th, 2007. It came to be when Sayjay was sweet enough to host me on her domain but there were other "sites" that I owned before this one.

In 2004, I created a little MSN Group page called BuffSlay related to Buffy. After that, I created another group titled Sweety Sarah about Sarah Michelle Gellar. At that time, I had started arting and I wanted a home for my creations. So, I closed Sweety Sarah and opened Blinded by the Light (still on MSN), my first art portfolio. I quickly abandonned it though because the options weren't avanced enough for what I wanted to do.

In 2006 (I think), I came upon Berend's site and saw that he was hosting other people on his domain. I applied even though I had no knowledge whatsoever of HTML and knew only bits about FTP. Berend was patient and kind enough to help me through the coding process. Unfortunately, I stopped that one too because I found coding too hard and being busy with school didn't help either. However, my wallpaper collection was still growing and I really wanted to host them somewhere on the Internet.

So, I created my Photobucket account and started uploading everything there. But I still wanted to have my own site someday. And that's when Sayjay came along. During a MSN conversation, she asked me if I had a site apart from my Photobucket. I told her that I didn' t have one 'cause I had no domain and no HTML knowledge. She told me that she would host me and help me code the first layout. A few months later, Starry Skies made its apparition in the online fanart community. So, big thanks and hug to Sayjay for everything she did for me. This website wouldn't exist if it wasn't for her.
